Job Title:
Global Supplier Product Quality Engineer
Summary:
The Global Supplier Product Quality Engineer provides global leadership for quality programs at Momentive's Tollers and Purchase for Resell (PFR) suppliers to ensure compliance with the Momentive Quality Management System (QMS) and customer quality requirements. Please note that this role requires on-site presence five days per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities Include:
- Provide leadership and guidance to Tollers and PFR suppliers in planning and executing their quality systems for required certification programs such as EFfCI, ISO, Halal, Kosher, RSPO, etc.
- Lead Toller and PFR supplier quality audits
- Ensure product quality complaints on Toll/PFR materials are resolved with root cause and corrective actions identified. Work with Tollers and PFR suppliers as well as Momentive Tolling, Technology and Analytical teams on defect identification and resolution.
- Ensure Toll/PFR quality defects are resolved with root cause and corrective actions identified. Coordinate with Tollers and PFR suppliers to ensure corrective actions are completed and effective.
- Ensure Toll/PFR materials impacted by product quality defects are appropriately restricted in SAP and released when issues are resolved
- Analyze product quality trend data using Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to proactively evaluate the quality of individual products and product groups. Provide definition and guidance for the reduction or elimination of Toll/PFR defects to improve product quality performance.
- Initiate/lead projects to proactively eliminate repeat product quality defects
- Identify the need to improve the accuracy of quality control methods for Toll/PFR materials and liaise with quality control for implementation
- Participate in Toll/PFR new product introductions (NPI) and serve as supplier quality representative on NPI post launch reviews
- Contribute to product quality relevant customer communications and requests as needed
- Serve as quality owner for Toll/PFR material master workflows
- Identify training needs at Tollers/PFR suppliers in terms of quality-related topics and forward to Global QMS Leader or provide the necessary training directly as appropriate
- Represent product quality on regulatory/risk/specification reviews
- Initiate Management of Change (MOC)/Process Change Notification (PCN) for Toll/PFR material product specification changes
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Master's degree in Science, Chemistry, Engineering or related field of study.
- At least 3 years in a Chemical Manufacturing environment, preferably in a production or process engineering role.
- Experience in the definition, planning and management of product defect investigations using a variety of root cause/corrective action tools and methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and in cross-cultural environments with both peers and senior leadership. Willing to facilitate/attend calls on off-hours.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Good Excel and Minitab skills for data analysis.
The following are preferred for the role
- 5+ years in a chemical manufacturing environment, preferably in a production or process engineering role.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Cause Map tool preferred.
- Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) or other project management certification.
- Knowledgeable of Quality Standards, including ISO, TS, FDA, RSPO, IATF, etc.
- Recognized as a strong customer advocate.
- Certified, or ability to achieve Lead Auditor Certification.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including good listening ability and the capability to convince others to establish or change precedents.
- Analytical thinking expertise coupled with outstanding presentation, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks effectively using prioritization techniques to ensure timely response to internal and external customer requests.
- Expert knowledge of SAP QM functional module, and Master Data.
What We Offer:
Base Pay Range: €41,300 - €60,610Compensation for this role will be competitive and aligned with market practices in the respective location and, where applicable, with the provisions of the applicable National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL), including relevant sector agreements (e.g., the Chemical Industry agreement or, for executive roles, the agreement for Executives of Companies Producing Goods and Services in Italy).
Actual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skills, and geographic location.
