Civil Engineer – Data Centre
Location: Rho, Milan

Employer: Italian General Contractor
Contract: 6 months initially, with a view to permanent employment
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join an Italian General Contractor delivering a major Data Centre project in Milan.
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the civil and structural elements of the project, working closely with the project management team, consultants, subcontractors and design teams. The role will focus on technical coordination, drawing and document review, package management and ensuring that works are delivered in accordance with the approved design, specifications and project requirements.
This is initially a 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of becoming a permanent position based on performance and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review civil and structural drawings, specifications and technical documentation.




- Assemble and manage construction and engineering packages for assigned scopes of work.
- Coordinate with design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
- Review shop drawings and ensure they are aligned with the approved design and project requirements.
- Review material submittals, technical submissions and supporting documentation.
- Identify design clashes, technical discrepancies and misalignments between drawings, specifications and site requirements.
- Raise and manage RFIs, technical queries and design clarifications where required.
- Ensure civil works comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards and project requirements.
- Support the coordination of civil works with MEP, structural and architectural disciplines.
- Review subcontractor documentation and provide technical feedback where required.
