Se sì, e se è convinto/a che questo sia il ruolo giusto per lei, si candidi il prima possibile.Tecnimont is seeking Materials Buyer to join our team in Catania.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing integrated solutions for complex plants designed to provide access to the latest technologies in our large-scale projects worldwide.If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact in reducing the carbon footprint of industrial operations, we encourage you to apply.With a rich heritage of technological innovation and a forward-thinking approach, we lead the energy transition through engineering excellence, cutting-edge technology and strong and dynamic execution capability.To learn more about Tecnimont: : Tecnimont - Official Website | TecnimontThe Recruitment process is managed by Key2People, a partner of Tecnimont.MissionThe Materials Buyer supports all procurement activities related to proprietary and critical equipment/materials associated with the projects and products developed by the company, ensuring proper supplier management, commercial evaluation, negotiation support, and purchase order issuance in compliance with project requirements, company procedures, budget targets, and project schedules.The role involves operating within an international and highly structured EPC environment, supporting both tendering and project execution phases through coordination with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams.The candidate will operate within highly dynamic and demanding project environments, requiring a proactive attitude, strong ownership mindset, and the ability to effectively manage complexity and multiple stakeholders.Main Activities & Responsibilities:Following the guidelines of the Group Leader, the Materials Buyer has the following main responsibilities:Ensure that suppliers are properly qualified within the Group systems; if qualification activities require field visits, coordinate with the Inspection and Qualification department; Prepare bidder lists according to project and product requirements; Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for proprietary and critical equipment/materials, leveraging also e-Procurement systems; Receive suppliers' offers and ensure proper tracking and archiving within Group systems; Liaise with thetechnical departments of the involved Tecnimont companies to technically evaluate offers,
according to the required level of detail and project dynamics; Prepare and issue commercial evaluations to the MB Manager for strategic assessment and decision-making; Support ProjectTeams by highlighting the main reasons for eventual extra budgets and proposing mitigation actions; Provide cost input for proprietary and critical equipment/materials cost models to support budgeting and internal benchmarking activities; Manage operational relationships with suppliers and maintain effective communication with vendors throughout procurement activities; Conduct commercial negotiations with suppliers, when appropriate, in alignment with the MB Manager; Assist the MB Manager in the customization of back-to-back contracts according to project, product, and supplier requirements; Issue purchase orders in SAP once project numbers are available; Issue purchase orders autonomously for products covered by framework agreements and approved price lists; Gather and maintain relevant supplier data, including revenues, Group intake, delivery performance, and quality KPIs; Support the MB Manager in interfacing with internal company functions, including Business Development, Engineering, Legal, and Project Control departments; Assist in drafting recommendations for award, where required; Support the handover of awarded contracts to post-order functions; Report regularly on procurement and buying activities; Ensure compliance with internal procedures, methodologies, and procurement protocols; Support and cooperate with the Project Procurement Manager / Coordinator during project execution in case of commercial issues with vendors, including claims, change order requests, Liquidated Damages discussions, and contractual matters; Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, supplier management activities, and internal coordination workflows.Required Qualifications & Skills:4/6 years of Purchasing experience; Experience operating within international and challenging environments; Experience in end-to-end tender management (RFx process); knowledge of e-Procurement systems is considered a plus; Experience in supplier negotiation on both commercial and contractual Terms & Conditions; Experience in contract preparation and commercial documentation management; SAP knowledge for procurement and supplies management; Ability to interface effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams; Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate within complex project environments; Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage conflicting situations; Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Team player with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships; Good computer skills,
including proficiency in MS Office applications and SAP; Availability totravel in Italy and abroad for short periods.Preferred Qualifications:Degree in Civil Engineering is considered a plus; Technical diploma (e.G.
