PE Global Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Planner to join a major data centre construction project based in Milan, Italy. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile European project with a strong long-term pipeline and an attractive expatriate package. A 10/4 rotation is available, along with full accommodation, flights, and an additional tax‑free allowance.Role OverviewThe Project Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reviewing project schedules and project controls procedures across all phases of delivery. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and communication skills, ensuring project milestones are achieved and risks are effectively managed. The role will be primarily site‑based in Milan, with a short onboarding period in Amsterdam.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and review detailed master construction programmes for live projectsMonitor progress against schedule and provide regular updates to senior managementPrepare and present progress reports, highlighting risks and mitigation strategiesLiaise with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project timelinesEstablish and manage resource‑loaded schedules across pre‑construction, construction,
and commissioning phasesTrack project milestones and deliverables through effective reporting toolsProduce variance analysis and recommend corrective actions where requiredRepresent the planning function in client and subcontractor meetingsSupport wider project teams and contribute to overall project delivery strategyEnsure planning processes align with best practice and drive continuous improvementRequirementsDegree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related disciplineMinimum 4+ years’ experience in a planning role within the construction sectorExperience on large‑scale projects (data centre or mission‑critical experience highly desirable)Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and project deliveryProficiency in Primavera P6 is essentialExperience with BIM or digital construction tools is advantageousStrong analytical and problem‑solving capabilitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work to tight and demanding project timelinesGood commercial awareness and understanding of contracts/project controlsFluent English requiredItalian is advantageous but not essentialPackageExcellent salary (DOE) €9,000 + tax‑free allowance. 10/4 rotation available.
