Job Description Contingent upon Contract Award.
The purpose of this position is to support the dentist in providing oral healthcare for DOS, DOD, and contractor personnel stationed in Israel. The dental assistant is an integral member of the dental treatment team and performs a wide variety of interventions which contribute to the overall oral health of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with routine dental procedures using concepts of four-handed dentistry.
- Prepares and sterilizes dental instruments and equipment for procedures.
- Performs both standard and specialty dental imaging in traditional and/or digital formats.
- Assist the dentist during various treatments and procedures.
- Maintain patient records and documentation accurately.
- Manage patient scheduling and confirm appointments.
- Provide education regarding oral health and post-treatment care.
- Ensure dental office adheres to infection control and safety standards.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance verification.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering dental supplies when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and other staff members to ensure a smooth workflow.
- 3+ years recent experience
- including at least six months in the past year.
- Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications Experience & Certifications Required:
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Dental Assistant from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, a territory of the United States or country of record to provide medical care within scope of practice preferred.
