Role Overview
The RTW & Bags Cost & Timing Specialist will join the Operations team, based in Novara, supporting accurate cost management and profitability throughout the collection development process across the RTW and Bags categories.
The role will initially have a primary focus on supporting the RTW Business Unit, subsequently transitioning towards a primary focus on the Bags category, according to business needs and priorities.
Working closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Production and Purchasing teams, the role will contribute to ensuring cost targets are achieved and maintained throughout the development process.
The position will report to the Business Unit Director of the relevant category.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the calculation and analysis of sampling and production costs for each style,
ensuring all relevant cost components are consistently updated in the system.
Partner with the Product and Merchandising teams to monitor style margins and recommend corrective actions in case of deviations from target costs.
Partner with Product and Production to negotiate prices with suppliers and secure margin objectives.
Support the preparation of regular reports and analyses on costs and profit margins, ensuring accurate and timely performance tracking.
Oversee cost trends throughout the collection development process, ensuring alignment with the established budget
Your Talent
2-3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the fashion or luxury industry.
Solid understanding of costing processes and production/sampling dynamics, ideally across both RTW and Leather Goods/Bags categories.
Proficiency in Excel (including vlookup, pivot tables, and advanced formulas) as well as key cost analysis tools.
