SPACE SYSTEMS ENGINEER
This is a role of significant importance: the selected candidate will report directly to the General Manager and will be the first System Engineering professional to join the company, with the prospect of becoming, over time, the reference point for developing this competency within the organization.
The role entails responsibility for the concept, specifications, design, and verification of satellite systems throughout the entire mission lifecycle. This includes defining and maintaining system and subsystem requirements consistent with mission objectives, supporting requirements flow-down and traceability throughout development, as well as developing and maintaining system architectures to ensure consistent integration between payload, platform subsystems,
and ground segment, and managing system budgets (mass, power, link, data rate) and interface consistency across disciplines.
The role will involve coordinating with the mechanical, electrical, software, thermal, AOCS, power, and AIT subsystem teams to ensure alignment and overall system performance, facilitating technical communication among the various stakeholders.
Responsibilities will also include defining and supporting verification and validation activities, supporting test campaigns, and ensuring compliance with applicable requirements and internal processes.
The role also covers the preparation and maintenance of system specifications and Interface Control Documents, participation in reviews, identifying technical risks and proposing mitigation strategies, and monitoring performance budgets and margins throughout the development lifecycle.
