/ppbr / /ppstrongAbout the role: /strong /ppReporting to the strongHead of Sommelier /strong, you will support all Food Beverage outlets with passion and creativity.
You will work closely with the FB leadership team to manage wine lists, recommend food and wine pairings, assist waiters and the Sommelier team with service preparation, oversee glassware par stock.
You will also manage inventory and remain highly visible in operations to ensure an attentive and distinctive Guest experience.
/ppbr / /ppstrongKey Responsibilities /strong /p ulliFull knwoledge of the hotel's wine list /liliAssist the Manager with source, purchase, and manage wine inventory while maintaining optimal stock levels /liliEnsure proper storage, cellaring, handling, and serving standards for all wines /liliCollaborate on monitoring wine costs and pricing strategies to support profitability /liliProvide expert wine recommendations and food pairings, enhancing the guest dining experience /liliEngage with guests through knowledgeable and approachable conversation,
creating memorable wine experiences /liliConduct wine tastings and special wine-pairing events /liliEnsure refined presentation and exceptional service standards across all outlets /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongStaff Training Development /strong /pulliTrain the Staff on wine knowledge, serving techniques, and pairing recommendations /liliLead educational tastings and training sessions for the restaurant Team /liliDevelop wine service protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongCompliance Quality Control /strong /pulliEnsure compliance with all local and national alcohol laws and regulations /liliMaintain high standards of wine presentation, service quality, and Guest experience /liliStay up to date with wine trends, emerging regions, and industry best practices /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongMain Duties /strong /pulliServe all beverage orders professionally, using correct equipment and procedures /liliTake beverage orders and apply upselling techniques when appropriate /liliRecommend wines based on guest preferences and menu selections /liliEnsure wine lists are updated and sales records are accurately maintained /liliControl stock levels of wines and beverages /liliSupport food service operations when required /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongWhat You Bring /strong /pulliTourism or Enology studies preferred /liliCertification from a recognized wine institution (WSET, AIS, Court of Master Sommeliers, or equivalent) /liliPrevious experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment /liliStrong knowledge of wines, spirits,
and food pairings /liliExcellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills, also in a foreign language /liliAbility to upsell while enhancing guest satisfaction /liliNative or Fluent Italian and English.
