Join Siemens Energy as a BID/Tender Manager and take the lead in securing new business opportunities within our Grid Technologies Substation division! Imagine transforming customer requirements into winning proposals for high-voltage substation projects. You will coordinate complex technical and commercial proposals, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and profitable.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will manage customer interactions throughout the tender phase, driving impactful results and supporting our mission of innovation and sustainability. Lead the end-to-end preparation and management of complex technical and commercial tenders for high-voltage substation projects. Analyze customer requirements to develop competitive, compliant, and profitable proposal strategies.
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Legal, Finance, and Sales teams to deliver high-quality bids on time. Develop comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimation, pricing strategies, risk assessment, and contractual reviews. Provide support to the Sales Team throughout the bidding phase, assisting with customer interface, clarifications, presentations and negotiations.
Ensure a seamless handover of awarded projects to execution teams while supporting business growth and enhancing customer engagement. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Proposal Management, Tender Management, Technical Sales or Bid Management for complex projects within the energy sector is preferred.
Strong technical and commercial acumen, including expertise in cost estimation, risk assessment, contract management, and pricing strategy. Proven project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple deadlines effectively. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
Fluency in Italian and English, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project). Travel may be required for client meetings and project engagements.
