L2 IT Support Engineer
Location:Rome, Italy
Experience:3–5 years
Role Overview
We are looking for anL2 IT Support Engineerto provide onsite IT and data center support at the Italian location.
The ideal candidate should have good hands?on experience withWindows environmentsalong with a basic understanding ofVMware/ESXi, server troubleshooting, data center operations, and cabling.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsiteL2 IT supportand basic troubleshooting for servers and IT infrastructure.
TroubleshootWindows-related issuesand perform basic system checks.
Have basic knowledge ofVMware ESXi and VMware technologies.
Perform basic troubleshooting when a server or system is down, including checking connections and interfaces.
Perform basicdata center managementactivities.
Handle and tracknetwork/server cablingand identify cable connections between equipment.
Assist with connecting and replacing network/server interfaces as required.
Perform basic hardware and connectivity troubleshooting.
Coordinate with remote teams and local site contacts for issue resolution.
Follow standard troubleshooting procedures and escalated complex issues when required.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience inL2 IT Support / Data Center Support.
Good knowledge ofWindows operating systemsand troubleshooting.
Basic knowledge ofVMware ESXi and VMware technologies.
Basic understanding ofserver infrastructure and troubleshooting.
Basic knowledge ofdata center operations and management.
Basic understanding ofnetwork/server cabling and cable tracking.
Ability to troubleshoot basicconnectivity and hardware issues.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently at the customer site.
Preferred Profile
Previous experience working in adata center environment.
Experience supportingservers, VMware/ESXi, and Windows environments.
Candidates with hands?on exposure to onsite infrastructure support are preferred.
VMware/ESXi expertise isnot required at an expert level; basic practical knowledge is sufficient
