Pirelli is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Computer vision Engineer. This role is strategic for improving and optimising business operations and production processes. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the implementation of advanced artificial vision solutions, with the aim of enhancing the efficiency, quality and sustainability of Pirelli’s production activities.
Design and development of advanced models, with a focus on computer vision applications aimed at improving production processes. Cross‑functional collaboration with various departments,
aimed at integrating artificial intelligence solutions into industrial processes and finished products. Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields. ~ Fluency in English. ~ Hands‑on experience in Computer Vision applications, including object detection, image segmentation, and anomaly detection on real‑world and industrial datasets. ~2+ years of experience in developing and optimizing deep learning models, with solid understanding of neural network architectures (CNNs, Transformers) and training, validation, and hyperparameter tuning techniques. ~ Proven ability to design and deliver end‑to‑end solutions, from data collection and preprocessing to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement in production environments, thorough advanced algorithms, ML and neural networks. ~ Strong knowledge of MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for Machine Learning (GitLab CI), model versioning, automated testing, and performance monitoring.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, preferred) and scalable ML infrastructure. Knowledge of multimodal models integrating visual and non-visual data.
Experience with Generative AI models and fine‑tuning techniques.
Experience with edge deployment or embedded systems. PhD in Computer Science or related field. #
