Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB's success through technology, product,
and system development in power electronics. Each day, you will apply your expertise independently and as part of a cross-functional R&D; team, identifying and implementing innovative solutions for demanding switching applications.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
- Designing and developing advanced power electronic systems for Solid State Circuit Breakers, including semiconductor stacks, gate driver circuits, and protection schemes for DC applications.
- Conducting circuit-level and system-level simulations to evaluate SSCB performance across diverse operating scenarios, including fault conditions and transient events. Contributing to thermal analysis and power loss estimation to support the thermal design and long-term reliability of SSCB hardware.
