Sales Area Manager

Honda Motor Europe is looking for a Sales Area Manager (Distributor Development) to support the growth and commercial performance of our Marine business across selected European distributor markets. In this role, you will work closely with distributors and internal stakeholders to drive sales performance, strengthen dealer networks, support Boat Builder development, and ensure alignment with Honda's commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse distributor performance through sales, market share, profitability, inventory and shipment data.
- Support the implementation of Honda's sales and marketing strategies across assigned markets.
- Monitor budgets, sales performance and commercial risks, proposing effective countermeasures when necessary.
- Drive dealer network development, brand visibility initiatives and participation in industry events.
- Support Boat Builder and sales channel development activities.
- Monitor market trends,
competitor activity and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare business reviews, sales reports and performance analyses for distributors and internal stakeholders.
- Support sales and logistics planning to ensure effective product supply and achievement of sales objectives.
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement across distributor markets.
Requirements
- Experience in sales management and commercial performance analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive business improvements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong financial awareness and business acumen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Fluent English for business communication.
- International or European business experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensive
