The Product Manager (Strategic Initiatives) will be key in designing and driving strategic product and marketing initiatives for both TOV and CBL SBUs. This role will need to ensure that the product roadmap is aligned with and fulfills enterprise objectives and has ownership of implementing all product roadmap initiatives such as (but not limited to) NPD, product enhancements and portfolio restructuring. Additionally, this covers ownership of supporting the Emerson planning process from the SBU perspective and other investigations such as competitor assessments, margin and GP analysis and regional pricing analysis. Development, execution and communication of product portfolio roadmap and associated programs including managing and driving NPD process through all Stage/Gate process from Gate 0 to Gate 7
Global product platforming and product positioning
Implement routine portfolio review (at least once a year) to determine opportunities for rationalization and obsolescence of products, in accordance with established Isolation Valve BU Product Lifecycle procedures
Implement routine price reviews to identify price opportunities and implement global and regional strategies (using Power & Risk and other Emerson tools)
Ownership of investigations such as financials (pricing, margins, backlog), market (new industry penetrations, existing industry consolidations), competitor deepdive etc. Support Product management leadership in Emerson planning process submissions.
Design and execute strategic product and marketing initiatives aligned with enterprise objectives.
Own and drive implementation of the product roadmap, including new product development, portfolio optimization, and product enhancements.
Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment of product strategies across TOV and CBL SBUs.
Support the Emerson planning process from an SBU perspective, contributing insights and data-driven recommendations.
