Junior-Mid Frontend Developer / UX-UI Designer

Pubblicato il 10-09-2026 - MindEarth in Milano

pbAbout the job /b /ppbPosition: Junior-Mid Frontend Developer / UX-UI Designer /b /ppbLocation: /bMilan, Italy (hybrid) /ppbContract Type: /b Full-time, permanent /ppbSalary Range (gross annual salary): /b€35,000 – €45,000 /ppbr/ppbCompany Profile /b /ppMindEarth is a dynamic Swiss–Italian frontier-tech company at the intersection of advanced machine learning and big data analytics for geospatial intelligence. By integrating satellite imagery, mobility data, and crowd-sourced mapping, we empower organizations across industries to make data-driven decisions that enhance sustainability, improve operational efficiency, and build confidence and resilience in the face of uncertainty. Our solutions enable businesses and governments to extract actionable insights from complex spatial data, transforming them into powerful tools for improving urban resilience, optimizing infrastructure, and managing environmental risk. /ppbr/ppbOpportunity /b /ppMindEarth builds web applications that turn complex geospatial data, satellite imagery, settlement footprints, mobility and socio-economic datasets, into products people can actually use. We're looking for a frontend developer with a strong design sensibility to join our engineering team. This is a hybrid role by design: you'll spend most of your time building interfaces in code, but you'll also shape how they look, feel, and behave. You don't need to be a complete product designer, you need good instincts for visual design and usability, and the curiosity to participate in product discovery rather than just executing tickets. You'll work directly with our Senior Geospatial Full Stack Engineer, who will mentor you on both the engineering and geospatial sides of the work. /ppbr/ppbKey responsibilities /b /pulliBuild and maintain interactive web applications with Next.js or similar, React, and TypeScript /liliImplement map-based visualizations using deck.gl and MapLibre GL /liliDesign UI components, layouts, and interaction flows: from quick Figma explorations to polished, production-ready interfaces styled with Tailwind CSS /liliBuild interfaces that are accessible by default: semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, sensible contrast and focus states,

and screen-reader-friendly components /liliParticipate in product discovery: help translate loosely-defined problems ("we need to show X to this client") into concrete, well-scoped interfaces /liliIterate on designs based on user feedback, client demos, and internal reviews /liliContribute to a growing internal component library and design conventions /liliCollaborate with data scientists and geospatial engineers to understand the data behind the interfaces you build /li /ulpbr/ppbYour profile /b /pulli1–4 years of professional experience building frontend applications with React and TypeScript /liliSolid grasp of modern CSS and experience with Tailwind (or ability to pick it up quickly) /liliA demonstrable eye for design: you notice spacing, hierarchy, typography, and color, and your work shows it: a portfolio, side projects, or production apps you're proud of /liliAn interest in accessibility and inclusive design: awareness of basics like color contrast, keyboard navigation, and semantic markup, and the motivation to keep learning (WCAG familiarity is a premio, not a requirement) /liliComfort working with designers' tools (Figma or similar) at a practical level: creating mockups, organizing components, handing off or picking up designs /liliInterest in product thinking: asking why before how, questioning requirements, proposing simpler solutions /liliGood written and spoken English; comfort working in a small, async-friendly European team /liliWillingness to learn geospatial concepts (projections, tiles, vector vs. raster data) on the job /li /ulpbr/ppbNice to have /b /pulliExperience with geospatial or data visualization libraries: , MapLibre, Mapbox GL, Leaflet, D3, or WebGL in general /liliFamiliarity with Next.js (App Router, SSR/SSG trade-offs)

/liliExposure to cloud-native geospatial formats (COG, PMTiles, GeoParquet, GeoZarr) and tiling services /liliExperience auditing or improving accessibility in real products (axe, Lighthouse, screen-reader testing, ARIA patterns) /liliExperience running or participating in user research, usability testing, or discovery workshops /liliBasic Python or backend experience (Node.js APIs, REST) /li /ulpbr/ppbWhat we offer /b. /pulliFlexible hybrid working model with international exposure. /liliBudget for equipment /liliMeal vouchers /liliDirect mentorship from senior engineering and science leadership, including deep geospatial expertise /liliReal ownership: small team, short feedback loops, your design decisions ship /liliAccess to cutting-edge AI, geospatial analytics, and Earth Observation technologies. /liliA highly interdisciplinary team combining expertise in data science, engineering, legal, and business development. /li /ulpbr/ppbr/ppbWhy join Mindearth? /b /ppMost frontend roles put you at the end of the pipeline. This one puts you in the room. You'll join a small, interdisciplinary team working on a problem that matters, turning satellite imagery and mobility data into tools that cities, businesses, and governments actually use to build resilience, run infrastructure more efficiently, and manage environmental risk. /ppThe interfaces you build will be the point where complex geospatial science becomes something a decision-maker can act on. That's a rare mix of craft and consequence: you'll shape how these products look and behave, learn the geospatial and engineering fundamentals directly from senior people who do this work every day, and see your decisions ship in weeks rather than quarters. If you want to grow as both a developer and a designer, care about building things that are accessible and well-made, and would rather help figure out what to build than just execute tickets, this is a good place to do it. /ppbr/ppbHow to apply /b /ppSend us: /pulliYour CV /liliA portfolio, personal site, or 2–3 links to things you've built or designed /liliA few lines on a product or interface you think is well designed, and why /li /ul
