pstrongUtility-Scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS) /strong /ppstrongItaly /strong /ppbr / /ppAre you an experienced BESS or Power Infrastructure professional looking to play a key role in delivering some of Europe#39;s most exciting utility-scale Battery Energy Storage projects? /ppAn established renewable energy developer is looking to appoint a strongBESS Technical Construction Leader /strong to support the successful delivery of utility-scale BESS projects across the strongUK and Italy /strong, from Ready-to-Build through to commissioning, energisation and commercial operation. /ppWorking closely with the Technical Director, you#39;ll bridge the gap between development and construction, ensuring projects are technically robust, safely delivered and handed over to operations to the highest standards. /ppbr / /ppstrongThe Opportunity /strong /ppThis is a varied technical delivery role where you#39;ll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, working alongside EPC contractors, OEMs, Owner#39;s Engineers and Grid Operators to successfully deliver utility-scale battery storage assets. /ppYou#39;ll be responsible for reviewing technical designs, coordinating construction activities, supporting commissioning and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and in line with contractual and grid compliance requirements. /ppKey Responsibilities /pulliSupport the delivery of utility-scale BESS projects from Ready-to-Build through construction, commissioning and commercial operation. /liliReview technical designs including plant layouts, HV infrastructure, SCADA, control systems, fire protection and grid interfaces.
/liliAssist with EPC and OEM procurement, technical specifications and tender evaluations. /liliCoordinate technical interfaces between developers, EPC contractors, Owner#39;s Engineers, OEMs and project stakeholders. /liliMonitor construction progress, quality, HSE compliance and contractor performance. /liliSupport grid compliance activities with UK and Italian network operators. /liliCoordinate commissioning, energisation, performance testing and project acceptance. /liliReview project schedules, technical risks, change requests and contractor deliverables. /liliSupport project handover, ensuring all commissioning documentation, OM manuals and technical records are complete. /li /ulpbr / /ppAbout You /ppbr / /ppWe#39;re keen to speak with experienced engineers who have been directly involved in delivering utility-scale Battery Energy Storage or comparable HV electrical infrastructure projects. /ppbr / /ppYou#39;ll ideally have experience across several of the following: /pulliUtility-scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS)
/liliHV/MV Electrical Infrastructure /liliGrid Connections /liliEPC Project Delivery /liliCommissioning Energisation /liliSubstations /liliSCADA Control Systems /liliProtection Systems /liliConstruction Management /liliOwner#39;s Engineer or Technical Delivery /li /ulpbr / /ppExperience Required /pulliDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, Construction Management or similar. /liliMinimum five years#39; experience delivering utility-scale renewable or power infrastructure projects. /liliPractical experience supporting projects through detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover. /liliStrong understanding of BESS technology, PCS, transformers, HV/MV systems, protection, SCADA and grid compliance. /liliExperience working with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams. /liliWorking knowledge of EPC contracts, warranties, technical specifications and contractor management. /liliExperience delivering projects in either the strongUK or Italy /strong, with exposure to both considered highly advantageous. /liliFluent English is essential.
