ABOUT THE ROLE – Commissioning Engineer – Process

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer – Process with proven experience in commissioning and start-up activities within Oil&Gas; projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning of process systems, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, and verifying that systems achieve the required design and operational performance.

Main responsibilities:

- Develop and review commissioning procedures, test packs and process system logic.
- Verify the readiness of utilities and support systems prior to commissioning activities.
- Review P&IDs;, PFDs, Cause & Effect diagrams, operating manuals and operating philosophies.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR).
- Supervise flushing, purging, leak testing and functional testing of process systems.
- Support the introduction of hydrocarbons or chemicals during initial start-up activities.
- Monitor process systems during start-up and ramp-up, ensuring safe and stable operation.
- Coordinate the tuning of control loops and process alarms with Instrumentation and DCS teams.




- Support troubleshooting activities and identify corrective actions for process upsets.
- Prepare commissioning dossiers, test results and as-built documentation.
- Manage punch list completion and support system handover to Operations.
- Support performance testing, reliability runs and process optimization activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, PTW, SIMOPS and LOTO requirements.
- Coordinate with Operations and multidisciplinary teams throughout the transition from commissioning to steady-state operation.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in the relevant discipline after obtaining the university degree.
- Proven experience in commissioning and start-up activities within Oil&Gas; projects.
- Strong knowledge of Oil&Gas; process systems, including separation, dehydration, gas treatment and compression.
- Excellent knowledge of P&IDs;, PFDs, control philosophies and equipment datasheets.
- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot DCS/SCADA logic, control loops and safety interlocks.
- Familiarity with commissioning software such as ICAPS, WinPCS or CMS.
- Good knowledge of field instrumentation and process control systems.




- Strong understanding of HSE requirements and commissioning procedures.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, particularly in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with proven ability to prepare technical reports.

The salary for this role ranges from €40.000 to €50.000

The position is governed by the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for the Commerce and Tertiary Sector applied by our company.

The final salary within the stated range will be determined based on the candidate's technical skills, relevant experience in the role, and the outcome of the selection process, using objective and neutral criteria.

In exceptional cases, where a candidate's profile significantly exceeds the requirements associated with the stated salary range, a review of the compensation may be considered, subject to internal approval.
