About the Role
adesso India is looking for a highly hands-on Senior ServiceNow Developer to work on a complex enterprise ServiceNow environment with significant customizations. This is a developer-first role, approximately 90% of the work is focused on scripting, coding, debugging, automation, integrations, and technical problem-solving. The ideal candidate is a strong software developer, comfortable working with complex existing code, debugging issues, and building customer-specific solutions, rather than a primarily functional ServiceNow consultant.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, customize, debug, and maintain complex ServiceNow solutions.
- Work across ITSM, particularly Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
- Develop advanced Service Catalog solutions including Catalog Items, Record Producers, Variables, Variable Sets, scripting, workflows/flows, approvals, and fulfillment.
- Perform extensive JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting, including server-side and client-side development.
- Use PowerShell and other scripting technologies for automation and technical solutions where required.
- Develop and troubleshoot integrations using REST, SOAP, Web Services, connectors, and APIs.
- Analyze, debug, and enhance complex existing customizations and code, performing root-cause analysis and optimizing performance.
- Develop and configure Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs, Data Policies, Scheduled Jobs, and Workflows/Flow Designer.
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, test cases, and technical solutions.
- Develop and execute tests, conduct code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.
- Support releases, deployments, upgrades, and production troubleshooting.
- Work with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance where required.
