Objectives of this Role
The Machine Shop Supervisor has the following objectives:
- Monitoring the progress of the production schedule, respecting productivity, the correct application of quality controls and scrap trend
- Defining and communicating goals and related deadlines to the operators in accordance with the company strategies
- Identifying inefficiencies, suggesting improvements and solving problems
- Promoting the company principles and implementing procedures
- Facilitating the onboarding of new associates and their training
- Organize the workflow and delegate the execution of activities to the Sift Leaders
Training, experience and skills
- Technical high school diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferres)
- Previous experience in the role and in machine shops production planning
- Knowledge of turning and milling processes on CNC machines
- Knowledge of technical drawing and the main measuring instruments (gauge, micrometer, etc.)
- Ability to write reports and technical documents
- Leadership and ability to manage time effectively
- Proficiency in oral and written English – B2 minimum level
