Your role and Overview
- Growth-oriented sustainable and innovative solutions are a key pillar of Prysmian’s strategy. A new function combining Sustainability, Innovation and R&D; has been announced to focus our efforts to become the undisputed technological leader in enabling energy transition, electrification and digital transformation of our communities.
- The Sustainability Leader will drive Business and Environment workstreams of Sustainability working with all Regions, Business Units and Functions.
- Accelerate Sustainability 4 Business impact through new solutions. Coordinate global taskforce with technical & commercial representatives from Regions to deliver defined targets for S4B workstreams. Scout new S4B workstreams through customer innovation workshops aligned with BU product roadmaps.
- Establish Prysmian as a clear technological leader in Circular Economy and Biodiversity.- Expand usage of recycled materials beyond current targets of recycle copper and recycle PE. Enable new solutions utilizing bio-based raw materials with even lower carbon impact.
Work across value chain with key suppliers and key customers to enable long-term partnerships with complete circularity from end of life to manufacturing.- Collaborate with Transmission to achieve new Net Gain Biodiversity target by 2035 both by minimizing environmental impact of our activities and deploying advanced EOSS solutions to monitor & protect our oceans.
- Drive Climate Ambition initiatives with all Regions to achieve Prysmian short term targets to reduce Scope 1,2 and 3 emissions by 65% by 2030 vs 2019 baseline. Outline Climate Ambition plan to achieve Prysmian long term net zero target to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 90% by 2035.
- Develop Avoided Emissions strategy and targets starting with Transmission and expanding to all Business units.
