COMPANY PROFILE:
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: The Packaging Specialist is responsible for packaging definition, cost and improvement.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Definition of packaging and costs of WMF material
- Follow-up of Logistics Provider for all packaging activities (labor and auxiliary materials) and loading
- Identification of logistics and packaging solutions to minimize packaging and transport costs (saturation)
- Cost control of handling and packaging materials
- Review and approve suppliers’ offers for packaging activities
- Audit of Logistics Provider process to ensure the required operating standards
- Follow up modification requests from assembly plants to ensure the quality of the pieces, to avoid safety issues and to support WCM improvements
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics activities
- Ability to liaise with different stakeholders in packaging: plants, purchasing department, suppliers and logistics provider
YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good analytical and problem solving skills required (Excel + Access is a plus)
- Ability to work autonomously and with accuracy / precision
- Natural inclination towards continuous improvement
- Previous experience in packaging is a plus
- SAP ERP knowledge would be an advantage
- English language is a must-have
