We're partnering with a mission-driven international organization to scale an established platform (Django admin + React front end) supporting a large-scale, real-world project. You'll own back-end development, testing and performance — building software that runs reliably in challenging, low-bandwidth environments.
What you'll do:
Develop, test and debug back-end features; maintain near-total test coverage on the CI build server
Run performance and stress testing to validate the system scales
Optimize data models and database performance (Postgres, SQL/NoSQL)
Deploy and maintain services on Kubernetes; conduct code reviews and keep docs to standard
Advise on Python/Django best practices and support knowledge
