The Role:
We are looking for a motivated Applied Account Manager to join our Italian commercial team and develop a successful career within a global life sciences organization.
Reporting to the Southern Europe Sales Manager, this is a field-based position covering the Triveneto area and part of Emilia-Romagna. The role holder will be responsible for achieving sales objectives across the assigned territory, while maximizing profitability through effective account management, territory planning, and structured customer engagement.
The role is highly customer-facing,
with approximately 80% of time spent on-site with customers, requiring frequent travel within the territory and occasional travel at a European level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory
- Manage pricing and quotations in line with company policies and commercial guidelines
- Plan and execute a high level of customer-facing activity, including visits, technical-commercial discussions, and follow-ups
- Position Thermo Fisher Scientific Microbiology as a strategic and trusted partner for industrial customers, particularly within the pharmaceutical and food sectors
- Identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships
- Accurately report sales activities, pipeline development, and market insights using the CRM system
- Collaborate closely with internal Thermo Fisher Scientific colleagues across sales, marketing, and technical functions
