Senior R&D; Formulator – automatic pencils
THE ROLE
- Researching raw materials used in cosmetics, such as botanicals, preservatives, fragrance ingredients, emulsifiers, surfactants, and emollients
- Developing new products using existing formulas as templates for new items
- Conducting testing on new formulas to ensure safety and efficacy
- Applying knowledge of chemistry and biology to create safe and effective formulas for consumers
- Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and preferences regarding product type and brand identity
- Combining ingredients according to formulas and creating color blends to achieve desired effects
- Performing product testing for compatibility with production machinery and shelf-life stability
- Managing and evaluating the feasibility of new projects
- Preparing prototypes and monitoring their stability
- Coordinating deliveries with the commercial and marketing departments
- Drafting bills of materials (BOMs)
- Scaling up and industrializing new products in collaboration with the production department
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3 years of experience in the formulation of mechanical/automatic pencils
- A degree in Chemistry / Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies / Pharmacy / Biology is a plus, but not mandatory
- Fluent/Excellent knowledge of English
- Good knowledge of / Ability to quickly learn the materials and procedures used
- Strong organizational and self-management skills
- High attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong communication skills with both internal (Marketing) and external clients
- Ability to understand and interpret client requirements
- Drafting reporting documentation to support created formulas (stability, compatibility, technical data sheets, etc.)
LOCATION: Crema/ Monza Brianza
SALARY: RAL starting from €50.000
