For which tasks (responsibilities)?
- Design and develop mathematical models for slot and crash games, including RTP, volatility, hit frequency, paytables, reel strips, multiplier curves, and house edge.
- Model and balance game features such as free spins, multipliers, Hold & Win, jackpots, Buy Feature, and cash-out mechanics.
- Tune RTP and volatility according to business, market, operator, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop Monte Carlo simulation tools to validate game mathematics across millions or billions of rounds.
- Ensure crash-game models and crash-point generation are statistically sound and provably fair where applicable.
- Work with developers to verify correct math model, RNG, and outcome logic implementation.
- Prepare mathematical documentation and support game certification with testing labs and regulators.
- Analyse live game performance, including RTP, hit rates, and crash-point distribution.
- Investigate and resolve math-related production issues, including payout, RTP, rounding, and edge-case errors.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
- Strong foundation in probability, statistics, combinatorics, distributions, expected value and variance.
- Experience in slot and crash game mathematics: reel strips, symbol weighting, paytables, feature frequency, multiplier/growth curves and house edge.
- Proficient in Monte Carlo simulations and mathematical modeling using Python and/or C#.
- Ability to visualize mathematical models and progressions in Python using libraries such as Matplotlib,
including data preparation, charts and clear annotations of key stages.
- Knowledge of RNG and provably-fair mechanisms, including hash-based seeds, HMAC and verification.
- Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets and basic SQL for modeling and game/player data analysis.
- 2–4 years of experience as a Game Mathematician, Quant, or similar, ideally with slots, crash or instant-win games.
- Familiarity with UKGC, MGA, Curaçao and other gaming certification requirements.
- Understanding of real-money/FinTech requirements, including transaction integrity, auditability and financial accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; able to explain complex mathematical concepts visually and to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Legal/Compliance and QA.
