About the Role
We are looking for an On Trade Sales Executive (OSE) to report to the Area Manager and manage commercial activities across wholesalers, on‑trade outlets, and wine shops within a defined area.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute joint business plans with key customers to drive sustainable growth, market share and brand value.
- Manage day‑to‑day commercial performance across on‑trade outlets, wholesalers and wine shops, ensuring target achievement and implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Drive sell‑out growth by expanding distribution, optimizing in‑store visibility and increasing brand presence in target outlets.
- Identify and onboard new business opportunities, strengthening partnerships with high‑potential outlets and optimizing customer portfolios.
- Negotiate, implement and monitor commercial agreements to ensure effective assortment, brand visibility and rotation.
- Execute pricing strategies in line with company guidelines and monitor market and competitor pricing dynamics.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities, sharing insights to support strategic decision‑making.
- Track performance, evaluate initiatives and provide actionable feedback to continuously improve commercial effectiveness.
- Support sales forecasting, order management and back‑office processes.
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting on field activities, customer visits and sales performance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within an FMCG company and holds a degree in Economics, Marketing or Business Management.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Strong understanding of commercial dynamics, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Digitally savvy with familiarity in social media.
- Results‑oriented, collaborative team player with solid market knowledge, including trends and key players.
- Experience in planning and executing promotional activities, combined with creativity and innovation.
- Good grasp of P&L; management.
- Excellent communication skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Fluency in Italian; good command of English (written and spoken) is a strong plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: €34,678 – €42,384, plus 19% variable pay and benefits. Our company applies the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the food industry.
