user acceptability, and domain suitability. /ppACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: /pulliDesign the software architecture and the data model of IT solutions, and support the Product Manager in presenting the IT Solution Proposals to the Architectural Board; /liliEnsure the high technical quality of IT solutions and compliance with WFP standards (architecture, security, technology stack, user interface, etc.); /liliProvide direction, instructions, and guidance to the (off-site) Development Teams; /liliPrepare high-level effort estimations for the development of IT solutions; /liliSupport the Product Manager with Backlog grooming; /liliReview and approve prioritised Backlog tickets for their inclusion in Sprints looking at completeness, clarity, conciseness, visual representation, dependencies, test data availability, behaviour-driven development (BDD) test scenarios, and such; /liliCreate technical tickets required to ensure the high quality of the IT solution, and negotiate their prioritization with the Product Manager; /liliRequest VPN accounts and renewing them on time to ensure continuity of services; /liliSet-up and maintain IT solution environments; /liliCollaborate on designing and maintaining the software libraries stack; /liliCollaborate on maintaining the continuous improvement (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) infrastructure; /liliCreate an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture; and /liliWhen required, act as Scrum Master:ulliChampion for Scrum within the team. /liliCoach the Development Team, the Product Manager, and the business on the Scrum process and look for ways to fine-tune their practice of it. /liliDeeply understand the work being done by the team /liliHelp the team optimize the delivery flow. /liliAs the facilitator-in-chief, plan and schedule the Scrum ceremonies: Sprint planning, Daily stand-up, Sprint demo, and the Sprint retrospective. /liliResolve impediments and distractions for the Development Team, insulating them from external disruptions whenever possible. /li /ul /liliOther duties related to software development, as required. /li /ulpDELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT: /pulliRobust IT solutions fully compliant with applicable guidelines (architecture, security, technology stack, user interface, etc.) /liliClean source code of IT solutions, in WFP source code repositories.
/liliIT solution documentation (Solution Proposals endorsed by the Architectural Board) /li /ulpQUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: /ppEducation: University degree or a minimum of 8 years of equivalent working experience in software development, or related fields. /ppExperience: Five years’ experience with software development, and a proven track record of planning, leading and executing related projects. /ppKnowledge Skills: In-depth knowledge of web technologies (Python, Django, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript); Proficiency developing high-quality IT solutions; Knowledge of Git and branch management techniques; Knowledge of Scrum.
