We are looking for a Senior Robotics Engineer to join our R&D; team.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between embedded hardware and advanced robotic systems, designing and developing the firmware and libraries that allow our microcontrollers to drive the next generation of open-source robotics. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.What you'll work on● Integrate Arduino microcontrollers and embedded platforms with industry-standard robotics ecosystems (e.g., Prototype robotic product solutions from research through to production, ensuring hardware and software harmonize perfectly.● Design, develop, code, test, and debug embedded firmware (C/C++) with a focus on robotics applications, including motor control, actuator management, and sensor data acquisition.● Work effectively with cross-functional teams including hardware, application software, Quality Assurance, and product management to define requirements, integrate components, and deliver high-quality products.● Represent Arduino at internal / external events and share our spirit with the developers communityWhat you bring● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.● Hands-on experience developing nodes and architectures using ROS 2 and micro-ROS.● Familiarity with robotic middleware communication patterns (Pub/Sub, Services, Actions, DDS).● Experience integrating and processing data from environmental sensors like LiDAR, Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors, cameras and MEMS.● Strong proficiency in C and/or C++ for resource-constrained embedded systems● Extensive experience with hardware interfaces and protocols crucial to robotics (e.g., CAN bus, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet,
