The successful candidate will become part of the team specialised in Hitachi Rail’s product certification activities, working within a laboratory qualified according to the EN 17025 standard and operating in compliance with the company’s quality management system. /ppThe role involves laboratory activities, coordination of certification tests, and support for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the laboratory quality management system. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliPerform Hitachi Rail laboratory activities, including both documentation-related tasks and hands-on testing activities. /liliPrepare Type Test documentation, including Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. /liliSet up test configurations and conduct laboratory testing on products. /liliCoordinate and oversee testing activities carried out at external laboratories accredited by ACCREDIA. /liliVerify and monitor laboratory equipment calibration activities and the related documentation. /liliSupport the maintenance and updating of the laboratory Quality Management System.
/liliEnsure the correct application of technical standards and metrological methodologies related to the tests performed. /liliCollaborate with certification bodies, customers, and accreditation organisations. /liliTravel for short- and medium-term assignments, mainly within Italy. /li /ulh3Required Skills/Knowledge /h3ulliAbility to use measurement instruments and laboratory equipment. /liliCapability to perform and supervise certification testing activities. /liliKnowledge of technical documentation related to testing and validation activities. /liliAbility to analyze test results and prepare technical reports. /liliGood knowledge of metrology applied to electromagnetic, mechanical, climatic, and electrical quantities. /liliGood IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and data management/calibration software. /liliStrong communication and interpersonal skills. /liliProblem-solving mindset and commitment to continuous improvement. /liliAccuracy, reliability, and quality orientation. /liliAbility to work effectively within a team. /liliOperational autonomy and sense of responsibility. /liliCommitment to continuous professional and technical development. /li /ulh3Desidered Skills/Knowledge /h3ulliExperience in managing testing or calibration laboratories. /liliFamiliarity with quality management systems based on EN 17025. /liliExperience coordinating activities with accredited laboratories. /liliInterest in innovation and continuous improvement. /li /ulh3Education and Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline. /lili3-5 years of experience in testing or calibration laboratory activities,
