A key part of the position will be to ensure the smooth running of the Cagliari office, to provide effective operational and administrative support to the wider 28DIGITAL team in Italy, and create connections and opportunities between local stakeholders and 28DIGITAL's network and activities across Italy and Europe. /p pThe Ecosystem Specialist reports to the Regional Director South and collaborates with the South regional team and colleagues across the organisation. /p h3Main responsibilities /h3 h3Ecosystem development and partner engagement /h3 ul liSupport the development of the 28DIGITAL ecosystem in Italy, with a particular focus on Sardinia. /li liIdentify and engage relevant companies, startups, universities, research organisations, public authorities and other actors in the local innovation ecosystem. /li liBuild and maintain relationships with local stakeholders and support their connection with the wider 28DIGITAL network in Italy and across Europe. /li liIdentify relevant opportunities within 28DIGITAL's innovation, education,



business and European project activities for local ecosystem stakeholders. /li liFacilitate connections and collaboration between Sardinian stakeholders and relevant organisations, initiatives and opportunities in Italy and across Europe. /li liMaintain and update ecosystem and partner information and CRM systems. /li /ul h3Project management and funding opportunities /h3 ul liSupport the implementation, coordination and reporting of regional, national and EU-funded projects. /li liContribute to the identification of funding opportunities and to grant acquisition and proposal preparation at regional, national and European level. /li liSupport the identification and engagement of relevant partners and stakeholders for project proposals and activities. /li liMonitor assigned project activities and contribute to timely reporting and compliance with funding requirements. /li /ul h3Regional activities and events /h3 ul liSupport the development and implementation of activities associated with the 28DIGITAL Cagliari office. /li liOrganise and support local and regional events, workshops, matchmaking activities, stakeholder meetings and other ecosystem engagement activities. /li liParticipate in relevant innovation ecosystem activities and events, representing 28DIGITAL when appropriate. /li liSupport the participation of local stakeholders in relevant 28DIGITAL activities and events in Italy and across Europe. /li liCoordinate logistics, suppliers and operational procedures related to the Cagliari office and its activities. /li /ul h3Administrative and operational support /h3 ul liSupport administrative processes related to ecosystem activities, partners, projects and events. /li liManage operational processes such as purchase orders, documentation and cost tracking in accordance with internal procedures. /li liSupport documentation, reporting and administrative coordination across regional activities. /li liProduce presentations, documents,



ecosystem mappings and statistics at the request of the Regional Director. /li liProvide operational support to the Regional Director South and the regional team when required. /li /ul h3Profile required /h3 ul liBSc/BA in business administration, economics, innovation, European studies, STEM or another relevant field. MSc/MA is an asset. /li li3+ years of relevant professional experience in areas such as innovation, project management, stakeholder engagement, business development, European projects or ecosystem activities. /li liInterest in and understanding of the Italian innovation ecosystem. Knowledge of the Sardinian ecosystem is a strong asset. /li liExperience or demonstrated interest in working with companies, startups, universities, research organisations, public authorities and other innovation stakeholders. /li liExperience with regional, national or EU-funded projects is an asset. /li liAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary, multi-stakeholder and international environments. /li liStrong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. /li liProactive, curious and service-oriented, with the ability to manage different tasks and priorities. /li liAbility to work independently while collaborating closely with a regional and international team. /li liProficient in Microsoft 365 applications and common digital collaboration tools. Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM systems is desirable. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 pFluent Italian and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, are required.
