Company Overview
Our client is an Italian industrial company, part of an international group, specialized in the design and manufacture of advanced automation and technology solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
As part of an international growth project, the company is seeking a highly senior professional to contribute to strengthening its positioning among pharmaceutical companies.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Senior Advisor will be responsible for accelerating international business development by leveraging an established network and recognized credibility within the pharmaceutical industry.
The role will focus on opening new relationships, generating qualified business opportunities, and facilitating the company’s access to high-potential customers. The Senior Advisor will also work closely with the company’s senior management in defining commercial priorities, market positioning, and the approach to target markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities with leading international pharmaceutical companies and upper mid-market pharma players.
- Strengthen the company’s presence in Italy, North America, and key European markets.
- Leverage an established professional network to facilitate access to strategic customers and key stakeholders.
- Define, together with the CEO and management team, market-entry and account-development strategies for target customers.
- Contribute to the development of the value proposition and the commercial positioning of the company’s offering.
- Collaborate with the internal sales team, the agent network, and the Group’s international commercial organization.
- Transfer market relationships, industry knowledge, and commercial best practices to the organization.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking an executive-level professional with extensive and well-established experience in pharmaceutical technology and a strong network within international pharmaceutical companies.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Significant experience in business development or sales of machinery and high-technology solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
- Established relationships with Big Pharma companies and mid-sized pharmaceutical businesses.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical processes, validation requirements, and aseptic environments.
- Proven ability to develop complex customers and manage medium- to long-term sales cycles.
- Experience across the North American and European markets.
- Strong professional credibility, autonomy, and the ability to operate effectively within a lean organization.
- A pragmatic approach and strong focus on tangible business development.
- Fluent English and willingness to travel frequently internationally.
The search is also open to professionals based in other European countries.
Contractual Framework
A consultancy arrangement is preferred. A compensation package in the €100,000 - €120,000 range is envisaged, subject to the candidate's availability and the agreed engagement model.
