VIST Group

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

VIST Group operates in the alpine skiwear market with two proprietary brands, Vist Scuderia and Vist Milano, and a globally licensed brand, Fischer Alpine Skiwear. The company combines innovation, quality, and Italian design to create high-performance garments and accessories for alpine athletes and enthusiasts. Founded in 1997 by Italian national team skier Elmar Stimpfl, VIST has maintained leadership with deep roots in professional alpine skiing.

Its brands serve both professional organizations and style-conscious consumers, outfitting over 150 entities in more than 40 countries. VIST continues to set new standards in skiwear, developing cutting-edge products that deliver performance, durability, and distinctive design.

VIST Scuderia, is the teamwear division of VIST Group. We design and produce personalised technical clothing for ski schools, ski clubs, lift operators, national federations and elite teams across Europe, Asia and beyond.

Our position is the middle that neither side of the market occupies: the look, quality and reputation of a premium brand, combined with a flexibility that premium brands do not offer. Teams that reach our production minimums can have items adapted, personalised or built for them, and the company is structured to act fast on those requests. Lower priced competitors may match the flexibility but not the quality or the brand perception; premium competitors carry the perception but are constrained by their own brand from offering the flexibility.

The commercial network in each market should be built on people close to the sport: agents who own the client relationship, and promoters embedded inside the schools and clubs we target.

The business runs on an annual campaign cycle: orders are taken from November through to late April or May, production runs over the summer, and delivery is at the end of October.

ROLE DESCRIPTION The Sales Manager x VIST Scuderia is responsible for defining the merchandising plan, product direction, pricing, the building and management of the entire commercial network of agents,

distributors and promoters. The mandate is to build, not to caretake. The strategy and operating model are defined. The role executes them, refines them, and scales them market by market.

Growth comes from widening the base: more active teams across more markets, so revenue no longer depends on a small number of large accounts. Markets are opened sequentially, one proof of concept at a time, through local agents supported by promoters inside the target schools and clubs.

IDEAL PROFILE

Credibility in the sport

Former athlete or instructor, or an equivalent personal network at that level. The commercial network is recruited and managed on this credibility and it cannot be substituted.

Commercial mindset with product awareness

Has owned revenue and client relationships, and can hold a real product conversation on fabrics, fits, personalisation and collection logic. Understanding customer needs, market evolution and product development matters greatly.

Comfort with ad hoc dealmaking

Most value in this business is created in client specific pricing, personalisation and project decisions that cannot be reduced to a price list.

Network builder and manager

Has recruited, briefed and managed agents, distributors or equivalent third party sellers across countries and cultures.

Operating depth

Holds production minimums, specifications and production timing closely enough to make pricing and delivery commitments that hold.

Builder temperament

Wants to build a commercial system rather than run an existing one.

Background

Commercial or product commercial experience in technical sportswear,

teamwear or an adjacent industry, ideally with exposure to club, school or federation accounts.

Languages

Italian and English required. Spanish, German and French valuable.

TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Markets and expansion

● Own commercial performance across the business unit's markets.

● Open new markets sequentially, running each entry as a proof of concept before replicating it: strong promoters inside target schools, an agent in place to close, and one significant school won as the anchor.

● Convert distributor relationships to agent agreements where the market no longer requires a distributor.

Commercial network

● Recruit, brief, support and assess agents and distributors, season by season.

● Own the promoter program end to end: the profile, the selection from agent proposals, the confirmation, and the rollout across all agent markets.

● Define what agents may commit to alone and what escalates to the company.

Pricing and commercial decisions

● Create and maintain the price list and the discount framework.

● Decide every ad hoc pricing, personalisation and colour request.

● Evaluate and decide all sponsorship proposals on the basis of direct commercial return in sales and leads.

Marketing and tools

● Own marketing, catalogues and the sell-in tools used by the network.

● Structure the marketing budget as a percentage of forecast revenue.

Product

● Set line strategy and collection direction together with the Head of Product.

● Ensure market feedback from agents and promoters reaches collection development, so the collection is adapted to real client needs rather than internal assumptions.

Operations and forecasting

● Coordinate production planning with the Head of Production, including anticipation of fabric purchasing ahead of campaign closure.

● Own the lead status forecast process with the network, twice per campaign.

● Handle after sales escalation.

Projects

● Lead ad hoc projects with large schools, clubs, teams and events.
