Senior BMS Engineer – Data Centre Project

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior BMS Engineer to join the project team of a leading General Contractor delivering a major data centre project in Milan, Italy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong BMS professional to take ownership of the engineering and delivery of BMS systems on a complex, high-profile project.
The Role
As Senior BMS Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the BMS engineering and design process, coordinating with specialist subcontractors and working closely with the wider project team.
You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from design and engineering through construction, testing, commissioning and final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of BMS engineering and design deliverables
- Review and coordinate BMS designs against project specifications
- Coordinate with BMS subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team
- Manage engineering queries, design changes and technical issues
- Monitor project progress, quality and delivery
- Participate in project meetings, technical reviews and site walkdowns
- Support testing and commissioning activities
- Ensure BMS systems are delivered in accordance with project requirements and the Quality Plan
- Support client demonstrations, handover and close-out activities
- Ensure project documentation, O&M; information and record drawings are completed to the required standard
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong experience in BMS engineering
- Experience working on large-scale or technically complex projects
- Previous data centre, pharmaceutical, high-tech or critical infrastructure experience is highly desirable
- A strong understanding of BMS systems and their integration with mechanical services
- Experience coordinating specialist subcontractors and multiple project stakeholders
- The ability to manage priorities and take ownership of technical deliverables
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A professional approach to quality, safety and project delivery
- EU Passport or equivalent right to work in Italy
