Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Duty Manager to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of Reschio Hotel and the consistently high standard of experience offered to our guests. Reporting to our Front Office Manager, the Duty Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation during their assigned shifts, will naturally combine attention to detail with an understanding of the wider Hotel operation and will enjoy being present on the floor, working closely with both guests and colleagues. The role requires a strong operational presence, ensuring that all departments work together seamlessly and that any guest request or operational matter is handled promptly, thoughtfully and discreetly.
The successful candidate will combine a genuine passion for hospitality with sound judgement, attention to detail and the confidence to make decisions when required.

Main duties and responsabilities
- Personally handle sensitive or complex guest matters, finding appropriate solutions while protecting the guest experience and the standards of Reschio.
- Follow up on guest feedback and ensure that any issues are communicated appropriately and resolved in a timely manner.
- Develop a strong understanding of individual guest preferences and requirements, returning guests and special occasions.
- Ensure that the guest experience remains consistent across all touchpoints and departments.
- Oversee operations during the assigned shift, ensuring that service standards and operational procedures are consistently maintained.
- Conduct regular operational checks throughout the property, including guest areas and relevant back-of-house spaces.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Concierge and other operational teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Review the day’s operational priorities, arrivals, departures, guests’ special requests, events and any matters requiring particular attention.
- Ensure an effective handover between shifts and that relevant information is accurately communicated to the appropriate teams.
- Respond promptly to unexpected operational situations, using sound judgement and escalating matters to senior management where appropriate.
- Encourage effective communication and collaboration between departments.
- Support colleagues in resolving operational challenges while ensuring that decisions remain aligned with Reschio’s service standards.
- Identify recurring operational issues and share observations with the relevant managers to support continuous improvement.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, respectful and collaborative working environment.
- Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies, coordinating with the relevant teams and senior management.
Ensure that any incident occurring during the shift is properly documented, communicated and followed up.
Skills and competencies required
- Previous experience in a Duty Manager or comparable operational role within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- A proactive, practical and solutions-oriented approach.
- Natural leadership skills and the ability to coordinate and support colleagues across different departments.
- High level of discretion and sensitivity when dealing with guests and confidential information.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Italian; additional languages would be an advantage.
- Confidence in using hotel management systems and standard computer applications.
Compensation & Pay Transparency
- Employment Type: Seasonal employment (CCNL Turismo – Level 2).
- Salary Range: €45.000– €50.000.
The advertised salary range reflects Reschio's assessment of the expected remuneration for this position. Individual offers within the stated range will be determined through the consistent application of objective, documented and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, specialist expertise and the level of responsibility associated with the role.
