Primary Functions:
Ensure company compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations (OSHA/EPA/KDHE/DOT) as it pertains to employee safety,
environmental compliance and proper storage and handling of hazardous materials and waste. Train employees in safety and environmental compliance. Develop a culture of environmental stewardship and personal safety within the staff. Oversee program implementation of the Maintenance Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that information on OSHA, EPA, and DOT, regulations are passed on to all employees.
- Ensure that initial and annual training (OSHA, EPA, and DOT) is given to all affected employees.
- Ensure that all written programs are updated when there are personnel, or physical changes that affect those programs.
- Ensure that all employees are trained to these changes.
- Update hazardous materials list and MSDS catalogs as needed to remain current.
- Supervise Safety Committee, meetings, accident investigations and reporting.
- Ensure that First Aid and CPR training is provided annually or when personnel changes
