Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
We are seeking an experienced Design Architect that will support support Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC). You will provide architectural design services, coordinate multidisciplinary projects, and ensure designs comply with DoD, Navy, applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
This position is contingent upon contract award of the contract. If awarded,
the anticipated period of performance will be approximately five years with six months potential extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide architectural design services for new construction and renovation projects in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Plan, develop, and coordinate architectural designs for multi-disciplinary/trade, vertical, and horizontal construction projects.
Review and develop technical engineering drawings, Statements of Work (SOWs), and contract modifications.
Coordinate architectural requirements with related engineering disciplines and assess their impact on project design.
Apply DoD and Navy design criteria, guide specifications, policies, IBC, NFPA 101, and applicable industry codes and standards.
Ensure designs comply with applicable local, state, federal, and host nation laws, codes, and statutory requirements.
Monitor project design activities to ensure successful and timely completion within schedule and budget.
