Italdesign is looking for a chassis suspension Engineer to lead and perform advanced simulations and analyses of vehicle systems using multibody methodologies and CAD system. The role combines strong technical expertise in vehicle chassis subsystems, such as suspensions, steering, brakes, wheels, dampers, antirollbars, with ownership of simulation activities across projects, contributing to system concept definition, performance optimization, and integration at vehicle level. The candidate will support development programs, interface with OEMs and internal teams, and contribute to technical excellence and business growth chassis domains.
development and execution of multibody simulations for chassis and vehicle systems
definition and correlation of vehicle models (full vehicle and subsystems)
definition and development of suspension systems, including architectures, kinematics & compliance (K&C;), and component behavior (bushings, dampers, anti-roll bars, steering system, tires)
support system-level design activities with a clear understanding of suspension functionality, trade-offs,
and performance targets
support vehicle integration activities, ensuring consistency between simulation models, CAD layouts, and package constraints
perform analyses of chassis systems with a focus on the interaction between simulation results and real system behavior
delivery of results in compliance with quality, cost, and timing targets
manage simulation activities across all development phases (concept → SOP)
ensure correlation between simulation and test data
support co-engineering activities with OEMs and suppliers
contribute to data-driven decision making for vehicle performance optimization
