A Senior Research Manager manages client relationship for more complex or key accounts and oversees multiple projects and clients.
Responsibilities:
- 1. Client Management:
- a. Key Account Manager (KAM) for 1 or a few clients
- b. Client relationship management for more complex or key accounts
- 2. Project Management:
- a. Autonomous management,
implementation and coordination of complex research projects
- b. Taking client briefs and writing study proposals
- c. Propose appropriate methodologies and research approaches
- d. Prepare estimates for ad hoc studies
- e. Negotiate contracts, or specifications, technically, methodologically and financially
- f. Ensure that projects meet objectives and are delivered on‑time and within budget
- g. Ensure that the project work meets agreed quality standards
- h. Report writing with storytelling
- i. Presentation of results, including relevant recommendations
- Ensuring that ongoing activities and projects adhere to the company's strategic guidelines
- 4. Revenue:
- a. Ensure targets for the accounts are met
- b. Share feedback with managers on client needs and potential revenue risks
- 5. People:
- a. Possibility to manage a Research Executive(s) or Panel Leader(s) but not necessary
- b. Close collaboration with the Data Solutions Hub
- c. Work closely with other members of our sensory and research team and the field team
- d. Involved in training and mentoring
Qualifications:
- Higher education with knowledge in market research and/or sensory research
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sensory and consumer research to be able to manage projects independently.
- Knowledge of food and/or cosmetic products, quantitative and qualitative consumer research methodologies, sensory methodologies and statistics.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Italian
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
- Rigorous, responsive and proactive
- Strong organisational and planning skills, that ensure work is effectively prioritised to meet deadlines
