ph3Position /h3 pThe Control Room Specialist follows the operations of container ships, ro-ro, rail (from gate in to gate out) by overseeing operational areas such as vessel, train, yard planning and management, berth and train window, etc. /p h3Purpose of the job /h3 ul liVessel / train scheduling management /li liYard management (movement planning, allocation, inventory) /li liTransmitting operational instructions to operational departments /li liCoordination between ship / train operations and the yard /li liTimely communication and coordination between the yard, gate and external third parties (e.g., Port Authority, agencies, ships, pilots) /li liManaging external traffic flows for ro-ro /li liManaging correspondence with external parties (agencies, customs, etc.) /li liManaging documents (ro-ro, container, trains) /li liManaging disembarkation / embarkation lists, ship and train lists, unit blocking or release notices /li liManaging requests for ancillary services (e.g., customs visits,
VGM)Data processing for correct customer invoicing /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liPrevious experience in vessel / train / yard planning (preferred) /li liPrevious experience in shipping agencies and / or in port sector (preferred) /li liFluent written and oral English (other languages are a plus) /li liGood Excel knowledge /li liWilingness to work shifts (including night shifts and weekends) and flexible hours /li liAbility to work under pressure /li liAbility to perform several tasks simultaneously /li liAbility to work in a team /li liDriving license (B) /li /ul pHHLA PLT Italy is part of HHLA Group, with over 6.400 employees worldwide.
