We are currently looking for an Automation Engineer to join our Asset Maintenance team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous development of our automated terminal systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the most technologically advanced container terminals in Europe, collaborating with Operations, technology providers, and engineering teams to maximize safety, availability, and productivity. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliSupport project teams and end users during the implementation of automated systems and technologies. /liliContribute to the design, testing, commissioning, and continuous improvement of industrial automation systems, networks, and related infrastructure. /liliTroubleshoot industrial network and wireless communication issues, documenting solutions and maintaining technical knowledge bases. /liliMonitor risks and opportunities during implementation projects, preparing reports and recommending preventive actions. /liliEnsure compliance with IT and Operational Technology (OT) service management processes and contribute to their continuous improvement.



/liliParticipate in research and development initiatives aimed at enhancing automation system performance, reliability, and competitiveness. /liliCoordinate with OEMs, system integrators, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful implementation and integration of automation solutions. /liliDrive equipment reliability through fault analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions. /liliMonitor and analyze equipment reliability and availability KPIs to support long-term maintenance and automation strategies. /li /ulh3Required Qualifications Experience /h3ulliDegree in Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent technical experience. /liliExperience working with highly automated electromechanical systems. /liliGood understanding of electrical systems and electrical schematics, including motors, actuators, circuit breakers, and three-phase systems. /liliKnowledge of electronic devices, drives/inverters, motor modules, I/O components, and PLCs. /liliExperience with Siemens products is considered a strong advantage. /liliBasic understanding of IT infrastructure, servers, databases, and APIs. /liliKnowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and Modbus. /liliBasic programming skills in at least one language such as Python, C++, C#, JavaScript, VB6, or equivalent. /liliStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and results-oriented mindset. /liliExcellent documentation and follow-through capabilities. /liliFluency in English, both written and spoken. /li /ulh3Preferred /h3ulliPrevious experience in ports, container terminals, logistics facilities, or other highly automated industrial environments. /liliFamiliarity with Lean methodologies such as Kaizen, A3 Problem Solving, and Root Cause Analysis. /li /ulh3Why Join Us? /h3ulliWork with advanced automation technologies in a state-of-the-art container terminal. /liliDevelop expertise in reliability engineering and complex automated equipment. /liliGain direct exposure to port and terminal operations. /liliCollaborate with international teams, suppliers, and industry experts.
