Newport & Co is hiring an M&A; Intern in Verona: six months, full-time, paid, working directly with our Chief Investment Officer on acquiring corporate carve-outs across Europe.

M&A; end-to-end: You will be involved in the entire M&A; process from origination to the first conversation with a corporate seller through valuation, due diligence, negotiation and deal execution

What you will do
Source and screen carve-out and divestiture opportunities across Europe
Build and stress-test financial models and valuations, including working capital, cash conversion and stand-alone cost structures
Support financial, commercial, operational and separation due diligence, including detailed financial analysis and reclassification
Prepare investment analyses and Investment Committee materials
Support execution from sourcing to signing, including carve-out perimeter, TSAs, transaction documents, and Day-1 readiness
Run sector research and maintain our proprietary deal pipeline and CRM
