Opportunity Overview
- Valve Technician
- 100% Travel
- Contract, short-term, 4 to 6 weeks, ranging 40-72 hours per week
- Contractors may be offered more than one short-term assignment
Your Day-to-Day
- Report to the On-Site Manager.
- Install, repair, replace, and conduct post-maintenance functional testing, diagnostics, and calibration of valves and control devices.
- Test and calibrate instrumentation.
- Inspect and troubleshoot.
- Perform leak testing, valve adjustments, and alignment checks using appropriate gauges and tools.
- Support field troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and continuous improvement plans.
- Complete work orders with accurate documentation of tasks and daily field activity logs.
- Ensure safety of self and team and prevent damage to plant equipment.
- Follow Quality standards and procedural guidelines set by the customer.
- Comply with work hour requirements and observe Quality, Radiological, Human Performance, and other nuclear program norms.
- Use appropriate PPE, including respirators, fall protection, safety glasses, and hard hats.
- Follow lockout/tag out requirements.
- Perform tasks in confined spaces, high-temperature areas, and elevated heights.
- Physical demands include tasks such as climbing, lifting (up to 100 lbs.), prolonged standing, bending, visual acuity, balance, manual dexterity, and hearing.
- Maintain focus for extended periods and read/write complex documents in English.
- Willingness to work overtime, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.

- High school diploma or equivalen
