For the next season, we are looking for a Commis de Pastryto join the team at our refined La Terrazza Restaurant and at the Pool Grill Restaurant.
He/she should have exceptional taste and exemplary customer service skills. The primary objective is to provide a friendly, attentive, and timely service and to create an exceptional experience for all our guests.
He/She reports to Pastry Chef.
Main duties & responsibilities:
- Assisting the Chef de Partie Pastry in the daily operations of the pastry section;
- Preparing and producing a variety of desserts, cakes, pastries, ice creams, and other sweet items according to recipes and hotel standards;
- Ensuring precise measurements, correct techniques, and consistent quality in all preparations;
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in the pastry kitchen;
- Learning and mastering new techniques and recipes as required;
Requirements:
- A formal culinary qualification specializing in pastry arts or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant setting.
- Strong foundational knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a flair for artistic presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently and in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
