Client operating in the Aerospace & Defence
Youman, recruitment & executive search firm, is supporting an important client operating in the Aerospace & Defence sector in the search for a Quality Engineer. The position involves an initial two-year assignment in the UK, followed by a return to Italy (Rome).
QUALITY ENGINEER – 2-YEAR UK ASSIGNMENT
Mission of the Role
The Quality Engineer will ensure product and project quality in line with internal processes, applicable standards and contractual requirements.
Working closely with the Project Manager, as well as customers and suppliers, the role will support the product across the full lifecycle, from bid/tender and offer phase, through design & development, manufacturing, up to final delivery and acceptance.
In addition, the position will contribute to the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), supporting activities such as system maintenance, audits linked to certifications, supplier qualification and ongoing compliance.
Main Responsibilities
Contribute to the definition,
continuous improvement and implementation of Product Assurance / Quality processes within the company
Perform and/or support Design Reviews to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met
Manage Configuration Management throughout the entire product lifecycle
Ensure management of Non-Conformities, in compliance with applicable standards, procedures and customer requirements
Prepare and maintain project Product Assurance documentation.
Participate in formal customer reviews and/or product acceptance phases
Ensure manufacturing and production processes comply with internal procedures, standards and quality requirements
Perform or coordinate internal audits (product and process) and manage corrective actions and follow-up
Interface with customers and suppliers on Quality / Product Assurance topics
Contribute to bid and proposal preparations from a Quality/Product Assurance standpoint
Experience & Background
