Senior Firmware Engineer

Topcon Positioning Group is looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team in Concordia sulla Secchia, Modena. This is an opportunity to work on advanced embedded software and firmware for GNSS receiver products used in construction, Geomatics, and agriculture technologies worldwide.
Design, develop, test,
and maintain embedded software and firmware components for GNSS receiver products.
Develop reliable, high-performance C/C++ software, including embedded Linux services, networking components, and hardware interfaces.
Integrate firmware with hardware, operating systems, GNSS technologies, and correction services such as RTK, PPP, and CSSR.
Debug complex software, system, and integration issues using advanced diagnostic and simulation tools.
Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD workflows, documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
~5+ years of experience in embedded software or firmware development.
~ Strong C/C++ and CMake expertise, including modern C++ standards.
~ Solid experience with embedded Linux, system APIs, networking, multithreading, kernel interaction, and real-time operating systems.
