Overview:
The Technical Manager is responsible for strengthening the technical capability, quality and consistency of Industrial Services delivery in Italy, while providing technical support to other European operations where required.
The role will act as the primary technical focal point for the Italian operation, supporting project execution, complex proposals, inspector competence, technical methodologies, service development and resolution of technical issues.
While Italy represents the primary focus of the position, the Technical Manager will also contribute to the wider European organisation by sharing expertise, supporting technically demanding opportunities and projects, and helping countries access and deploy specialist capabilities across the region.
The role supports Operations and does not replace country or project delivery accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Leadership – Italy
- Act as the primary technical focal point for Industrial Services activities in Italy.
- Provide technical guidance to Operations Managers, Project Managers,
Coordinators and inspection personnel.
- Support technically complex assignments and intervene where technical clarification or escalation is required.
- Ensure appropriate technical methodologies, procedures and execution approaches are established for projects.
- Support consistent application of DNV requirements, applicable codes, standards, specifications and client requirements.
- Identify technical risks early and support Operations in establishing appropriate mitigation measures.
2. Proposal & Tender Support
- Provide technical leadership and input to significant and technically complex proposals.
- Review scope of work, specifications, ITPs and client requirements to ensure technical requirements are correctly understood.
- Develop or review execution methodologies, technical assumptions, resource requirements and technical deliverables.
