ppWe are looking for a bSenior Logistics Operations Manager /b to lead our Italian operations and drive performance, quality and profitability across bMilan, Bologna and Rome /b.
/ppYou will bown the operational KPIs and service quality /b, lead multi-city teams (controllers, HR/people support and local operations staff), manage the bPL and budget /b, and represent the company in bweekly client meetings /b for key accounts.
/ppThe ideal candidate has solid experience running logistics operations in Italy, is confident with numbers, and is very strong in Excel and data-driven decision-making.
/ph3Key responsibilities /h3h3Operational performance quality /h3ulliOwn the boperational metrics /b (on-time performance, delivery success, quality, productivity, safety) across Milan, Bologna and Rome.
/liliEnsure processes and SOPs are correctly implemented and followed at station/city level.
/liliRun regular performance reviews with local teams and implement corrective action plans where needed.
/liliEnsure consistent service quality across all cities, aligned with client SLAs.
/li /ulh3Team leadership organisation /h3ulliLead and coach local teams, including bcontrollers, HR/people support and city operations leads /b.
/liliSet clear goals, monitor performance, and support the development of key team members.
/liliFoster a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
/li /ulh3Client relationship management /h3ulliHold bweekly operational meetings with key clients /b, presenting KPIs, root-cause analysis and action plans.
/liliAct as main operational escalation point for Italian operations.




/liliWork closely with clients on ramp-ups, peak planning and new initiatives.
/li /ulh3PL, budget financial control /h3ulliOwn the boperations PL /b for Italy: revenue, variable and fixed costs.
/liliPrepare and manage bbudgets and forecasts /b together with the Country Manager and Finance Controller.
/liliMonitor margins and unit costs; implement cost-optimisation initiatives without compromising quality.
/liliEnsure accurate monthly reporting and explanation of variances vs budget/forecast.
/li /ulh3Cross-functional collaboration /h3ulliWork closely with the bFinance Controller /b on reporting, accruals, and financial analysis.
/liliCoordinate with HR on workforce planning, hiring needs and people issues.
/liliCollaborate with Fleet, IT and other support functions to ensure operations run smoothly.
/li /ulh3Data, reporting continuous improvement /h3ulliUse bExcel and data /b to analyse performance, identify trends and drive decisions.
/liliBuild and maintain operational dashboards and standard reports.
/liliLead continuous improvement projects to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve service.




/li /ulh3Requirements /h3ullib5+ years' experience in logistics operations in Italy /b (last-mile, parcel, e-commerce or similar).
/liliProven experience bmanaging PL /b and budgets for an operations function.
/liliVery strong bnumerical skills /b and a bdata-driven mindset /b.
/liliAdvanced bExcel skills /b (pivot tables, lookups, basic modelling, data analysis).
/liliExperience leading multi-site or multi-city operations teams.
/liliComfortable running bclient-facing meetings /b and presenting KPIs/action plans.
/liliStrong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise under pressure.
/lilibFluent English /b (spoken and written).
Italian is strongly preferred due to the nature of the role.
/liliWillingness to btravel regularly /b between Milan, Bologna and Rome (and between Barcelona/London For Board Meetings).

/liliBackground in fast-growing or scale-up environments.
