Renesas is seeking a brilliant and motivated MSc student in Electronic Engineering for an internship to develop his/her final graduation thesis. The internship has a duration of six months to be spent in the new Renesas design center located in Catania, Italy. Objective of the internship is to perform research and development in the silicon validation automation domain with a special focus on Power Management IC.
During the internship, the candidate will join the Performance Computing Power team in Catania working side by side with experienced engineers that will provide guidance and support throughout any technical challenge.
Design, develop, and optimize advanced laboratory test setups for complex silicon evaluation
Develop automated validation frameworks and measurement scripts using Python.
Validate analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power management ICs against electrical, functional, and performance specifications.
Perform data acquisition, statistical analysis, result correlation, and preparation of detailed technical reports.
Collaborate closely with Design, Applications, Firmware, Product and Test Engineers.

Principal Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize advanced laboratory test setups for complex silicon evaluation

Qualifications
- Proficiency with any programming language (Python is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of power management applications in consumer electronic
- Able read board level analog and digital PCB schematics
- Good communication skills
- Cross cultural awareness and sensitivity within multisite and multicultural environments
- Excellent command of verbal and written English
Additional Information
Compensation : EUR 1000 gross per month
