Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $15.75 per task

About the Opportunity
Mercor is hiring Italian-speaking bilingual writers to help capture and evaluate real, natural voice interactions with a next-generation AI assistant, in partnership with a leading AI lab.
In this role, you will use a specialized version of the application on your own Mac to complete everyday tasks through voice interactions, then document and evaluate the AI's responses in Italian and English as required.
Responsibilities
- Use voice interactions to compose messages, emails, and notes across everyday applications.
- Direct the AI assistant to perform tasks such as generating images, formatting text, applying spreadsheet formulas, and summarizing documents.
- Accurately transcribe spoken queries and prepare cleaned-up transcripts.
- Evaluate and rate AI-generated responses for quality, accuracy, and relevance.
- Record task information in a structured tracking sheet.
- Upload supporting voice recordings to a shared drive.
- Follow project guidelines consistently and perform detailed quality reviews.
- Provide reliable language and interaction data to support the development of natural, voice-driven AI systems.
Required Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Italian , with strong familiarity with Italian language and cultural context preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions in English .
- Must own a Mac with an Apple Silicon chip (M1, M2, or M3) .
- Must be running macOS Sequoia 15.0 or newer .
- Regular experience using common productivity applications,
including email, messaging, documents, spreadsheets, and browsers.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transcription and data entry.
- Comfortable with structured data entry and independent quality review.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong familiarity with everyday Italian communication and conversational language.
- Experience with voice assistants, AI-powered applications, transcription, content evaluation, or quality assurance.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow detailed workflows.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies and maintain accurate task records.
- Experience working with bilingual or multilingual content.
