Commercial Contracts Specialist / Legal Counsel - Milan, Italy | Full-Time | Permanent

Our client is a global renewable energy technology leader, renowned for delivering advanced solar PV and battery energy storage solutions to utility-scale, commercial, and industrial customers worldwide. With a rapidly growing presence across Europe, they are at the forefront of the clean energy transition and are seeking a talented legal and contracts professional to support their continued expansion.
The Opportunity:
Joining a highly collaborative Legal & Contracts team, you will play a key role in supporting major renewable energy projects across Italy and the wider EMEA region. Acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, you will help manage contractual risk while enabling commercial success across a portfolio of cutting-edge solar and energy storage projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate, draft, and manage commercial contracts for renewable energy projects across Italy and EMEA
- Support contract activities for Solar PV and Energy Storage business units
- Review and prepare framework agreements, sales contracts, NDAs, and general terms & conditions
- Identify contractual risks and propose practical commercial solutions
- Lead contract negotiations with new and existing customers
- Prepare contract summaries and risk assessments for project teams
- Support the resolution of contractual and commercial disputes
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, policies, and business processes
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in Law or a related business discipline
- 3-5+ years of experience within the renewable energy, energy storage, construction, or infrastructure sectors
- Strong understanding of commercial contract law and contract drafting
- Experience working within a Contracts, Commercial, or Legal department
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to communicate complex legal matters to non-legal audiences
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities
- Proactive and commercially focused approach
- Fluent Italian (C1 level)
